This Milton kitchen remodel was designed around how a busy family actually lives. Homework at the island on a Tuesday, eight people for dinner on a Sunday, and a steady rotation of coffee, snacks, and cooking in between. The layout had to absorb all of it without ever feeling crowded.
The space is anchored by a deep navy island in Mouser's Nook door style, finished in Indigo Island. The perimeter is the same Mouser semi-custom cabinetry line in the Divinity door style, finished in Haven White. Same maker, same construction quality, two doors that read very differently next to each other. The white perimeter keeps the room bright and quiet while the navy island gives the eye a place to land.
A Calacatta Abrezza marble herringbone mosaic runs across every backsplash in the kitchen, including the cooking wall and the coffee bar nook. Using one stone everywhere keeps the room calm and lets the navy island stand as the focal point. The custom range hood is painted to match the perimeter cabinets so the cooking wall reads as one clean composition.
Hardware ties the palette together. Top Knobs in Honey Bronze runs across every cabinet, paired with a Newport Brass satin faucet in the same finish family and amber-glass pendants over the island. Three metals, one warm conversation.
The storage is where the project earns its keep. A pull-out spice cabinet sits right next to the cooktop with three full-extension tiers. The utensil drawer has a dedicated knife block insert and vertical filing for cutting boards. A tall pull-out pantry next to the refrigerator holds five rolling shelves of dry goods, all visible the moment the door opens. A built-in coffee station with a penny round Alaska White marble mosaic backsplash gives the espresso machine a permanent home so the counter stays clear.
Just outside the kitchen, a built-in navy console with floating white oak shelves and a penny round mosaic backsplash gives the hallway a moment of its own. Same materials as the kitchen, calmer key. The laundry room shares the same vocabulary in Mouser Divinity cabinetry finished in Ash Gray, with full-height storage, a hanging rod, and the same hardware family running through. Built-ins, mudrooms, and laundry rooms are all part of the specialty spaces we design and install.
The result is a kitchen that works as hard as it looks, on a Tuesday and a Sunday alike. Schedule a showroom visit to talk through your own project.
